Supes

Never before, in my lifetime, have we needed the ideals that Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster embodied in Superman than we do at this moment and stand up to the tyrrany that has taken root and is destroying the lives of so many dedicated public servants; and with it, the American dream. 

This is a portrait of Henry Cavill’s Superman, whom I think didn’t get enough credit for his work in the red cape. However,  I believe in the symbolism that Jerry and Joe imbued into their creation, with the perspective of 2 outsiders to the American dream and how powerful of a beacon it is to those in need. We need to find the kindness that was a core principle to Superman’s character…that was, in my opinion, the real superpower. The world needs kindness, now more than ever.
