Evolving and iterating the process and toolset that we use to create our Cyanotypes as well as refining core imagery that works well with this process.
Looking at the process, it works exceedingly well with natural subjects but we wanted to see how it might handle some harder designs, like automative subjects.
As we work through the process we are also working through our toolset on what chemistry, substrate, and exposure times are most appropriate. Much like traditional photography, there is much experimenting with the subject – with one welcoming caveat – you can do all your exposures with the lights on as it is the UV light that triggers the emulsion.
As we get closer to our own standards we will continue to share these experiments and ultimately, we can share the details on our Cyanotype work.
