More experimentation incorporating new brushes into an existing workflow focused on transposing techniques to digital illustrations. With a set of existing brushes and patterns that I have relied on for years, I recently purchased a set of natural media set from Creators Couture and have spent some time this holiday season experimenting with their inclusion in my workflow.
So naturally as part of this test is pulling out some key characters from my childhood’s favorite films: John Carpenter’s “Escape from New York” and Ridley Scott’s “Alien“.
Both of these characters were iconic portrayals by these actors and although Kurt Russell had been in the limelight his whole life, this role really placed him in the pop culture lexicon sans his Disney heritage. While Sigourney Weaver was relatively unknown before this role but has since become synonomous with Hollywood Blockbusters.
